Get Active Success!

We had a brilliant start to our Get Active Roadshow, having attended St Richards Festival, a Honeybourne village event and Pershore Carnival.  The support from local organisers has been wonderful and we hope that all the people we met have had a great time.  Lots of local people completed our survey and so have been entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a prize worth £50.  Good luck to all!

At St Richards Festival we brought along the Green Ape Smoothie Bike, a puppet making workshop and some sports activities.  The zone was incredibly busy on the sunny day with 105 young people completing all 3 activities in our Passport scheme.

On 25th May we were lucky to have another wonderful sunny day.  Once again the smoothie bike was as popular as ever with all ages taking part.  We also provided sports activities, an arts workshop and free health checks. 

Bank Holiday Monday was a very busy day with the large number of people who attended the Pershore Carnival.  Children were encouraged to make a mask in the spirit of the Carnival and health checks were available from David Lloyd.  Thank you to everybody who participated and filled in our survey.  We hope you enjoy the Community Development goodies!

The next event is St James Village Fete on 1st June from 1-4.  This is by the Harvington Village Hall WR11 8NQ.  Come and join us and take part in an arts workshop, have a go on the climbing wall and join in with some sports activities. 

Get Active at St Richards Festival

We had a wonderful time at St Richards Festival on Sunday and we hope you did too!  A big thank you to everybody who was involved with our children's passport activities and those who filled out our survey.  Over 100 children were getting active by taking part in a multisports activity, making a smoothie by riding a bike and making a paper puppet. 

We can't wait to get out for the next event and hope the sun shines just as brightly as it did this weekend.  Come and join us at the Honeybourne Fun Day on 25th May from 2 till 4:30.

The Community Development Get Active Roadshow

Are you going to be at St Richard's Festival this bank holiday weekend? We are! Come and find us at Vines Park between 11 and 4 offering free activities for all. We really want to find out what you think about your local area so come and answer some of our questions- there might be a freebie in it for you!


The Community Development Team is coming to an event near you, so come and join us to Get Active in your community!   Each event will hold different surprises from a climbing wall, to puppet making, to making smoothies by riding a bike! It is also a great chance to learn about the local council and have your say.  We will be travelling round a whole host of events, so look out for us at one near you.
